The song SHEKERE by YEMI ALADE Deserves a National Award if not a global one.

Yemi Eberechi Alade known professionally as Yemi Alade is a Nigerian Afropop singer and songwriter.

She won the Peak Talent Show in 2009, and had a hit with her single “Johnny” in 2014.

The song “WOMBOLOMBO” is named after the tambourine-like instrument played in various regions of the continent.

Yemi alade went back into the past to bring out the ancient sounds of Africa,

Restructuring it and giving it a nice melody which makes it retain it absolute true nature

Yemi alade did that with no depreciation in value, thanks to legendary Beninese singer Angelique Kidjo.

This classic tune which combines the whole of African culture ranging from Dancing, dressing, sound and many more is one of a kind,

Not a random or regular sound around, it’s going to be an evergreen song for her whenever she grace African stages around the world to perform.

It’s going to take a lot of hard work from her counter parts to put up a body of work that’s going to surpass the glory of this flawless record by Yemi alade.
