In respect to President Mohammed Buhari assenting to the new Bill for 30,000 minimum wage, The Attorney general of the federation and the minister of justice have came out to clearly state that having being assented by the President there’s nothing left but commencement of payment.
The minister of justice had to speak after it was reported that their are huddles from his Office delaying the implementation of the new pay by MDAs, State and others. According to report the Minister who said President Buhari has completed all legal process of implementation and with regards the new pay should take effect from this month, April, 2019.
He continued by clearly saying the law is automatic and does not require his office or the attorney General of the federation to do anything after the President has assent the bill.
Mr Garba Shehu the special assistant to the President on Media and Publicity said there was no issue to be sorted out and the new pay should effect this April once the President directs.
